Ramy and Ehab Mahmoud started small by helping friends but have built their business into a huge success! They were able to quit their 9 to 5 jobs, they’re changing a ton of lives, and they love what they do every day.

So, please welcome to the podcast, Ramy and Ehab!

Here are some of the top highlights from our conversion. Watch the full interview here.

What was your life like before credit repair?

Ehab - We both kind of just worked jobs. We had nine-to-five jobs. We were always committed but always had an entrepreneurial mindset. But were always just working our nine to fives and always in some type of leadership background, though. Always working hard, trying to figure out that extra niche.

Ramy - The entrepreneur mindset. He nailed the head on a dot. Since I was 19, I've been trying different things myself. Network marketing, different sales. So we gained a lot of experience these last ten years doing that. It's like he got his mind, I got my mind, we came together, and basically, what you see here is what we got.

How did you both decide to start goats credit?

Ramy - It was a tough time. My father had passed away, and when he had passed, you can do two things. Either you go down the hill, put your head down depressed mode, and feel upset, or figure something out. And I was an older sibling. I had my brother Ehab, next to me. He's only two years younger than me and a younger sister. So being the older sibling, I figured I wanted to do something where I have a foundation and build something on the side where we'll be good for life. And I ended up just going on YouTube trying to figure some things out and while talking about it with some friends, your ad came up on YouTube.

So in the midst of things, already trying to figure out something, I was looking at YouTube animation, and then your thing popped up on YouTube, and I was like, this is interesting. And I'm a finance guy. I like numbers and let me click on his ad. And within a week, I think I bought the software and I started. I built myself a little office at my apartment, and I got the credit hero challenge for 14 days.

I got the book. I started all that. And I was like, I'm going to go into this. And then all of a sudden, I presented it to Ehab who helped me elevate the business. He's the operations. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be able to take it to where it is now. So I got it going and sent him the idea, and knowing everything he knows, he put it together, put a system in place, and the idea from there just got ran and started. We started building.

How did you find your first client?

Ehab - Well, actually, it was all through referrals. He got his friends involved, but our first real kind of clients, outside of our friends, he lived in an apartment complex. It was Christmas season or something. So I made a bunch of flyers, went into all the apartment complex, posted them on all the mailboxes, and maybe that night we got our first client.

How did you go from that to expanding to where you are now?

Ramy - Our basis was our own social media, our personal social media. We would just make little posts. Of course, we would tell our friends. We would tell little small businesses. But what really, you can say changed the game. I sometimes have more of a scared risk factor than my brother. My brother is more like all risk. He'll dive it all in. He doesn't matter where. Me, I'm a little bit more of the scare tactic.

So I came across a guy who does social media marketing thing, and where we come from and where we live here, it's a lot more expensive to enter these things, so you can pay thousands of dollars and not sure what your return might be, but we came across a guy in a different country who does this really well, and he's like, let's take the risk, man. Let's take the chance. Let's pay him and see what we get out of it. And I was like, are you sure? I don't want to get scammed. I don't know what we're doing. He's like, let's try it. So I took my brother's word, and from there, what happened?

Ehab - Basically, we started running ads, Facebook and Instagram. Our marketing team lifted the whole entire project for us. We just basically created the video, our advertisements, him talking, just showing off our results and everything. We sent that to our marketing team, and they just started basically advertising on Instagram, Facebook, and now our advertising budget would increase gradually every few months, and the more it increased, we would take on the load of work, hire some people, and then increase the budget. It was always balanced, but the marketing changed the game.

What are your most effective marketing strategies for attracting new clients?

Ramy - I will make myself a video. Maybe I'll use a TikTok editor or video editor. And pretty much I will take results from Credit Repair Cloud. And when I go to do a new import and it shows the increases in the amounts deleted, I will simply take pictures of that. And then I will make a video of myself pointing at the deletions and the score. Like, wow, look at this. Wow. I got a collection removed and posting that there's somebody there. At least one out of ten people watching this. At least for every ten one that needs me. From there on, people are going to hit me up on my Instagram or Facebook personally.

On top of the marketing that I already have, that we paid for, on top of real estate agents or loan officers or people who work in dealerships that are seeing my personal post. Hey, Ramy, this guy didn't get approved for a vehicle. I'm going to send him your way. All right, go ahead. No problem.

My biggest thing with marketing is to stay consistent. Keep posting. If you're not letting people know your business is open every single day, then you're not really running a business.

How do you deal with the credit bureau stall letters?

Ramy - We get those. All they are, those are a nutshell. We've had people who've gotten those stall tactic letters for months on months. I had somebody who got it maybe between four to six months. They were just getting these stall tactic letters. And at one point, I was like, oh my God, we're doing everything in the book. But the 7th month, his credit shot up like, I don't know, 150 points, 200 points. He got like 56 deletions.

What's a common misconception people have about credit repair that you wish you could correct?

Ehab - It happens overnight. That's the biggest one.

Ramy - Not understanding the fundamentals of credit. Because I have a client that might come in and they have tons of negative items on their credit. Credit repair. Yes, we're deleting negative items, but they forget that they actually have to now build positive credit. You might delete their negative items, but their score might not go up dramatically. And that's because credit. There's a pie chart. We educate them on the pie chart. In the audit, 35% of it, which is almost 200 points, is your payment history. And credit is calculated from 300 to 850. So 550 points to play with, 200 of them is literally how you pay your bills on time.

So if a client doesn't have any reporting bills on time, any positive credit, well, your credit is not going to shoot up. And then I deleted the negative ones because they were negative. Well, then that's not going to help your credit shoot up. And then when your credit card utilization is 15%, do you have any credit cards? If they don't have any credit cards, then you don't have a revolving balance. That's another thing. You're not having to build credit. So now all you have is a couple of lousy inquiries, maybe one account that was open, and you have no mixed credit. So people don't actually understand how credit is built and what we're actually doing. Yeah, I'm sure I'm deleting your negative items, but after that, there's another sequence now where it's like, almost like a body cleanse.

It's like your stomach is filled with all these fatty acids and toxins. Well, now, after we do the cleanse and we release all this stuff, we now got to build it with nutrition. We got to build it with positive, healthy foods. And that's exactly how a credit report is.

What's one piece of advice that you'd give to someone starting their own credit repair business?

Ehab - You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great. Okay? And so that's just basically the gist of it right there is that start, right? And the snowball is going to be very small, all right? But you just keep pushing, pushing, and it's going to get bigger and bigger and then you're going to find it. Rolling down the hill to empower yourself.

Ramy - To educate yourself as much as possible in the beginning. Find or stick to somebody who's successful already doing it, to see what they did. And the way I would do that is simply what I did is going by the credit repair cloud millionaires and I would look at them and they would tell you their story and I would follow that. So here I am now, two years later with my brother, three years later, talking to you, heading in the same mark. And that's what I would say is find someone who's successful, learn what they did and educate yourself. Because if you educate yourself and be able to actually know every single step of the business mastered, you're not going to have a problem when a client gives you an objection because you know everything. And then you'll be able to actually empower and educate others. So my biggest thing is education and find someone who's already successful that you can learn from.
