BEWARE Of Phony Credit Repair Advice On How to Grow Your Business

Written by Daniel Rosen | June 23, 2020

Automations, paid advertising, a big office, team members, sales funnels, flashy websites, social media… Does it ever end?

Shiny, new, “gotta have it” ideas are a trap when you’re first starting, and if you’re not careful, they’ll kill your business before you even get it going!

In this article, I’m going to tell you the truth about shiny object syndrome and how to avoid it.

I’ll also give you a step by step blueprint to making your first million with credit repair.

Has this happened to you?

You start working on launching your business, only to get a ton of mixed messages about all these things you need. And the crazy thing is, everyone says you NEED THIS, and you NEED IT NOW?

I see this all the time in entrepreneurship, and especially in our Credit Repair Cloud Community. People get bombarded with a million messages about all the things they “should” do.

And it’s understandable. We all want shortcuts. We all want to start today and have robots automating our workflows tomorrow.

But the fact is - it just doesn’t work that way. And worse, by following every shiny new object, instead of learning the basics, you risk building your business on a foundation of quicksand.

Eventually, you’ll run out of time, money, and energy chasing all of these shiny objects, without the most basic foundation, and your business will collapse.

When you recognize these things for what they are - distractions -  and you embrace the handful of steps between where you are now and getting our Millionaires Club Award, that’s when you’ll begin to build the business of your dreams!

So the big question becomes, what is the blueprint to success?

I’ll tell you. And guess what? By completing these steps in order, by keeping your head down, and working hard, while changing lives, you can get to that million-dollar mark, a whole lot sooner than you think!

So remember, you have to start with the basics! I’ll share with you 10 steps to get you from where you are today, to where you want to be.

Step 1: You Have To Master Your Craft!

Now, there are three main ways of doing this.

  1. You can read a book. There are a lot of fantastic ones out there - but of course, if you haven’t read it yet, I’d recommend reading my book, The Ultimate Guide To Starting A Credit Repair Business. And, the best part is, it’s FREE!
  2. The second way is (which is the faster way) - take a course! If you haven’t yet joined the Credit Hero Challenge, this is the easiest way to work your way through everything you need to know in just a few weeks! We will hold you by the hand as you build the foundation of your credit repair business, and in the end, you’ll also get 3 awesome certificates to go on your wall!
  3. The third way is - practice with your own credit and get some free clients to practice with! Help your friends and family. You can’t get good at ANYTHING without practice, right?! And with 8 out of 10 people needing help with their credit, there are tons of opportunities for you to master your craft!

Step 2: Spread The Word!

When you do a fantastic job, and you get your client amazing results, ask for a testimonial! They’ll be more than happy to give it! You can even work that into your deal with your free clients.

Remember, you’ll want to get that testimonial right when you’re showing them the awesome result you just got them. Then once you have that amazing testimonial, post it on your personal Facebook page and your Instagram and your website!

Testimonials are important. They are indisputable PROOF that your service is excellent. And people are more likely to work with you once they’ve seen the proof.

So post as many testimonials as you can. Get the word out that you are awesome, and that you want everyone to know about all the lives you’re changing!

Once you’ve got some killer results and testimonials we move on to step three.

Step 3: Start Charging For Your Services!

Now you’re a master of your craft, and you’ve got an excellent track record to show! It’s time to start charging when you sign up new clients.

A good price if you’re just starting, would be somewhere between $59 and $99 a month, depending on who your audience is. And if they’re paying you every month, that’s recurring revenue that quickly starts to multiply.

All you have to do is be awesome, give value, and they’ll continue to pay your monthly fee. Then you just need to get more clients.

And the best clients come from referrals! Tell your free clients from the previous step that you will pay them $50 or $100 for each paid client they refer to you.

Then eventually print some business cards and flyers and make the rounds of every person in your area who is a realtor, tax preparer, furniture store, auto dealers, solar installers, or anyone who sells a product or service that depends on having good credit.

They are turning people away every day due to credit issues, so they would love it if you can fix their credit and send those folks back to them. It would be life-changing for them. AND this is how you start to build affiliate partnerships!

Step 4: Market To The Masses!

Now, this is the time you COULD start playing around with paid advertising. BUT you don’t even HAVE to! You don’t have to spend a penny! By just getting super visible on social media - that means posting at least 3 times a day on your Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Keep in mind, these posts are not ads. Ads will turn people off. Instead, give information, credit tips, tell your story of how and why you got into credit repair, show pictures of your score, and your clients’ scores going up.

Also start to add value in groups you’re part of and do live video streams to connect with your audience and to show off who you are. Make it your goal to show everyone that you are the go-to expert about credit! Then when they have comments or questions, be ready to help!

Step 5: Shift Your Focus From Money To VALUE!

This is major. Most entrepreneurs get into business to make money - and that’s okay! But once you start making money, you soon realize it’s about so much more. It’s about the lives you can change and the service you can offer.

When you start focusing on that instead, your profits will naturally increase because people will want to work with you!

Step 6: Continue To Work Hard, But Get Some Help!

Yes, you’ll have to work really hard to get to this step - but once you do, you’ll have the money you need to hire an assistant to help with all the tactical day to day tasks.

Then, once you free up a little bit of your time, you can start to hire a team and free up even more of your time! You’ll begin delegating and having support so you can shift your focus to growing the business and leading your team!

Step 7: Scale Marketing And Automations

This is when you scale-out your marketing and start to add in automation. It’s also where some of those shiny objects can actually become useful! But notice this is STEP SEVEN. There’s a whole bunch of steps to do BEFORE you get here!

Step 8: Get Your Millionaires Club Award

Step 9: Keep Growing And Help Others

Step 10: Give Back

Make more so you can give more. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat! And that’s it!  That’s the blueprint to a million-dollar business!

So, here’s what you need to know.

Although it’s probably simpler than you thought, it does TAKE TIME!

There is no shortcut for excellent customer service. Credit repair is a people business, and if you do an amazing job, your own customers will grow your business for you!

Malik Greene is a perfect example of this. In a recent interview I had with him, he shared how he got to over $220k in annual recurring revenue IN HIS FIRST EIGHT MONTHS IN BUSINESS WITHOUT ANY SHINY OBJECTS!

He got to where he is with zero automations, zero email campaigns, zero mentors, zero coaches, and the website that came from Credit Repair Cloud! And do you know the number one thing is that he credits for his success? Customer service.

He said, “My life didn’t change until I started changing other people’s lives”!

And that’s really what this is all about, right?!

So if you’re just starting your business and finding yourself spinning your wheels every time you get distracted about something new and you want to get hyper-focused attention as we hold you by the hand while you launch and scale your credit repair business, then I want to invite you to join the next Credit Hero Challenge

And if you found value in the things I shared in this article or if you have a question, leave me a comment and let me know! I’d love to connect.

And remember - keep changing lives!
