I come from nothing, and I left home at 13, and made a living by juggling on street corners, just to make enough to eat! I have failed more times than anyone I know. I failed with my credit. I failed at saving money. And I especially failed at trying to start a business. I failed at that over and over and over again, until eventually, I built Credit Repair Cloud from nothing! And I did it by bootstrapping my business on a shoestring budget.

  •  “What IS the step by step order for running my business?”

You can launch your business from home for close to nothing . Here are my proven, simple steps –

  1. Learn your craft. That’s the most important thing! The fastest and most effective way to do that is to take the Credit Hero Challenge.   2. Software: You’ll want an active Credit Repair Cloud account so that what takes HOURS to do manually, will be done with a click of a button. Plus, it really fool-proofs the process for you, so you become an expert to your clients even if you are just starting.   3. Practice: First, you’ll want to practice with free clients, friends, and family to learn the mechanics of importing their report, running an audit, giving a client consultation. The Credit Hero Challenge will walk you through this. Often, people ask me how many free clients should I practice on? The answer is; as many as you can. The more you do for free, the better you will get at the process, and the more comfortable you will be, so that you can become successful and profitable in the long run.
  4. Testimonials: Once you’ve gotten at least 2 or 3 people positive results, you must get testimonials from them. Testimonials are everything. Don’t have a website that has no testimonials! They’re proof that your services work. Then work these testimonials into your deal for the free credit repair that you did earlier. You’ll say “I will repair your credit for free, but you will promise to give me a testimonial at the end when I get you great results.” Then, hold them to it!
  5. Be Compliant: Find out what is required to have a business in your state. We have a link at Credit Repair Cloud that has the laws for every state.
  6. Create a Business Entity. This doesn’t have to be expensive!  You can start as a sole proprietor which costs nothing — or you can be an LLC or a corporation, which will cost you money. This is all up to you. But if you’re just starting, save money, get an LLC later when you’re making enough money to need tax benefits. You can start as a Sole Proprietorship and then the only requirement is to have your full name in the business name.  If I call my business Daniel Rosen Lawn Mowing, then it doesn’t cost me ANYTHING -- and in most states you can start a sole proprietorship without even registering with the State. 
  7. Bonds: Some states require a bond, and some don’t. If your state requires a bond, don’t worry! If you go through a bonds service, the amount you pay is just a small fraction of the total bond amount.
  8. Business Checking Account: Get a business checking account. Again, you don’t need a corporation for this. If you have one, sure there are tax benefits.  But if you’re just starting and you haven’t even made any money yet, just get started! Worry about spending money for tax benefits later. You don’t need tax benefits if you’re not making money. So you can get your business checking account, get your business going, and make adjustments later. Momentum is everything!
  9. Business License: You might need a business license for your city. Ours here in Los Angeles cost us $90 for our first year. This is not expensive.
  10. Office:  You don’t need an office! The truth is, no one does.  It’s perfectly fine to work from home, and you can do meetings on Zoom.  But for safety, you might want to get a virtual business address at UPS or Regus.
  11. Website: Get a website. Hiring a web designer can cost thousands of dollars and take months to build. But in the beginning, you need to save money!  You can get a predesigned site for $20 at MyCreditRepairSite.com and it integrates easily with Credit Repair Cloud. You can get a website up and running in under 15 minutes, and then slowly make little changes to the text and images to make it unique.
  12. Pricing: Choose your pricing and add that into your client agreement. Most people do a free consultation and credit audit and that helps them to close the deal.  And then, they charge a first work fee when they create the first round of letters ... the average is $79-$99 for that.  And then a month later, most people charge in the range of $79-$99 per month.   13. Merchant Account: If you want to take credit cards, you’ll need a merchant account and a payment gateway and a payments platform. You don’t need these at the beginning. If you want to save money, start by taking cash and checks and get a merchant account later.   • Q“How do I choose a name for my business? Do I include the word Credit in the name?”

Choosing a name is easy!

My general rule of thumb is to let potential customers know exactly what you do!

Our company has Credit Repair in the name, and we make millions of dollars. Not only that, half the people in our Millionaires Club have Credit Repair in their company name. That’s because it’s smart to name your business something clear that will get you the most clients. 

There’s a myth that having the phrase Credit Repair in your business name is going to make it hard to get a business checking account. But this is not true. There are many major banks that won’t have any issue. 

So the easiest way to name your business is to take your first and last name and add the phrase Credit Repair or Credit Consulting. And as a bonus, if you are using your full name, you won’t even need a DBA, which will save you money. 

  • “What are all the necessary things to have in place before starting a credit repair business?” 

What you need more than anything is PASSION

The most important necessary thing of all, that you need the most, is a love for helping people. 

Anyone can learn credit repair, and anyone can learn how to run a business, but this business goes beyond making money. This business is all about people, and it’s super personal!

The secret is to always remember that the MOST important thing of all is a passion for helping people and a positive attitude. Part of success is feeling fulfilled, so if you truly have a passion for helping people and changing lives, your success will soon follow.
