Credit Repair Business Goals for 2023 & How to Reach Them!

By: Daniel Rosen Last updated: April 24, 2024

Do you know the secret to success in Credit Repair and Life?

Well, today, I'm going to show you how to grow your business and achieve your dreams by SETTING GOALS!

The key to success in Credit Repair and Life is SETTING GOALS.

I like to say The Secret to Creating Luck and The Secret of Millionaires and Billionaires are setting goals. But I don't just say that because I believe it, it's not just a personal philosophy. It's actually been proven.

As crazy as it sounds, a Harvard Business Review study found that 83% of the population said they don't have goals!

14% said they have a plan in mind, but their goals aren't written down.

3% said they have goals, AND their goals are written down.

The Harvard study found that those 14% of people who have goals are 10 times more successful than those without goals.

And the 3% of people who write their goals down are 3 times more successful than the 14% with unwritten goals!

These numbers are insane, but that's just the tip of the iceberg!

Studies also show that…

Sharing your goals with friends and family increases the odds of achieving them

And setting goals in business leads to enhanced performance, engagement, and optimism if you have a team.

Now, I can tell you from personal experience when you're a lonely entrepreneur with a dream, just about the only thing you really have control of are the goals you've set for yourself and your company.

That's why it's so important to set the right goals in life and in business.

HERE'S HOW THIS RELATES TO US…

In the Credit Repair Business, goals tend to be very personal, and saying "How can I help you" really means "How can I change your life?"

Most Credit Heroes have experience striving for the same goals as their customers. We start by fixing ourselves, and that puts us in a unique position to relate to our customers as we guide them toward their goals.

Understanding their goals enables you to provide them with the proper tools, dispute tactics, and financial coaching that they need to succeed.

Understanding your goals allows you to provide yourself with the structure, focus, and planning needed for your business to succeed.

HERE'S THE THING TO REMEMBER…

Before you set goals for next year, you need to understand this past year.

Review this past year. Ask yourself: what worked? What didn't? What milestones did you celebrate? What failures did you learn from? Think about it, if you had to do this year over again, what would you change?

During this process, don't be defensive or harsh, be honest. Treat it like a diagnosis. There's good news and bad news. Which one do you want first?

Don't look outside. Look in. Be accountable. Successful people take responsibility for their failures and press forward. Successful people also know it's important to fail. Because that's how you learn and grow stronger. I've failed more than anyone I know. And that's the key to success.

HERE'S WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT…

You really need to know yourself and your business if you want to set goals that can truly improve your life and grow your business in 2023.

That's where S.M.A.R.T Goals come into play. They work!

SMART Goals stands for:

  • SPECIFIC
  • MEASURABLE
  • ACHIEVABLE
  • RELEVANT
  • TIME-BOUND

SMART works for me, and I know it can work for you!

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW…

When you're ready to write your 2023 Goals, grab paper and pencil and answer the following questions:

SPECIFIC
What is the accomplishment? What actions will you take? What exactly changes?

MEASURABLE

How will you know when you're making progress? What data will you use to measure success?

ACHIEVABLE

Is it realistically doable? Do you have the necessary skills and resources? If not, what do you need? Or whose help do you need?

RELEVANT

Why is the result important to you? Does it matter to other goals you have in business or your personal life? Remember sharing your goals with others increases the odds of achieving them.

TIME-BOUND

How much time do you need to make this happen?

Once you have those questions answered, review what you've written. You should have a specific achievement that matters to your life or business, that is realistic and measurable, with an idea of how long it will take.

Sounds pretty SMART to me.

But don't forget the old saying, "A goal without a plan is a WISH."

So, if the SMART goal turns out to be GIGANTIC and intimidating, your next step is to break it down into a whole lot of smaller goals. Divide it up into Quarterly, Monthly, or Daily bite sizes. And you'll see all those tiny goals will line up to form the map to your GIGANTIC Goal, and now you have a plan.

MY FINAL POINT…

The key to success in Credit Repair, Business, and in Life are all the same. Set goals, write them down, and share them with loved ones, and you'll have a Happy New Year!

I'll end by saying…

Every week I feature one of our credit heroes inside our credit repair cloud Facebook community so that you can see firsthand what real people are doing as they run and grow their businesses. And today's spotlight is on Simon Akin. About a week ago Simon posted a comment saying hi since the day is almost over, I wanted to share my results with everyone. I managed to get about 18 to 20 test clients today and still counting Facebook posts helped a bit. But I ended up DMing a lot of folks on Facebook and reaching out to my contacts on my phone, which proved to be very effective. In the days since Simon also posted his logo and slogan. Simon says credit up Don't let your credit down. And he asked the community to share success stories people experienced in their first three to six months. Wow, Simon, you're a real success story, testing clients, figuring out marketing strategies, creating your brand, and engaging your peers. Those are all great steps toward your larger goals.
