Quarantine Special - Week 8

Written by Daniel Rosen | May 19, 2020

Everyday life has changed so much recently that I can’t even keep track of how long we’ve been in quarantine. If I had to guess, I’d say we’re in week eight. However, I did notice that something very peculiar is happening in the online world.

And no, I don’t mean people spending vast amounts of time streaming endless content - that’s actually been pretty great! I’ve binge-watched so many awesome TV shows and movies that I could usually never make time for.

But what I’ve noticed going on on social media these days has raised my concerns. During my day off, I caught myself feeling very upset by all the negativity that I’ve stumbled across. And I assume that many of you have experienced something similar.

Today, I come to you with a quarantine special about why you have to deny these waves of negativity. Don’t let them poison your mind. It’s currently spreading like wildfire in the online world, and you have to rise above it. Your business is counting on you to do so.

My Quarantine Update

Last week was a particularly difficult time for me because it was when this year’s Credit Repair Expo was supposed to be held. We had everything planned out for an incredible event. Thousands of Credit Heroes were supposed to meet up in Dallas for the greatest credit repair event of 2020. And I’m really heartbroken that we didn’t all get a chance to live through it.

That being said, there’s no room to despair. Because I know that as soon as it’s okay to hold events again and make sure everyone is safe, we’re going to organize the best Credit Repair Expo you can imagine!

We’ll all be working hard until that day comes. As for me, I’m still trying hard to stick to my daily routine. I’ve mentioned it in one of our episodes a little while ago, and it’s really helped me keep my productivity up.

I’m also hoping you’ve successfully moved your business into the online space completely. And if you haven’t yet, I strongly encourage you to do so because the people who have done so are experiencing record amounts of business.

The Rise of Negativity on Social Media

“Have you noticed how many people are revealing how nuts they are?” - Daniel Rosen

The pandemic has made a real impact on us and has amplified our behavior immensely. So much so that people are starting to show their true face. And in some cases, it really isn’t pretty.

I want to point out that Saturday is a particularly special day for me. I use it to rest, recharge, and blow off steam cruising around Facebook. But last week, endless threads full of aggressive and hateful messages have managed to dampen my spirits. They really got to me.

All of this is happening outside of the credit repair industry, on my personal profile. I love our Credit Repair Cloud Community, and the oceans of positivity I witness every time I visit just fills my heart. But the moment I stepped outside of the credit repair bubble - things started to get overwhelming pretty quickly.

So I started to do something I’ve never done before. I started unfriending and unfollowing people because I felt that I couldn’t take it anymore. There were friends from back in the day, business acquaintances, and even people I’ve admired for quite some time. I was horrified by all the anger, aggression, and conspiracy theories. And I quickly figured out I don’t want it to be a part of my life. So I acted on it, and I invite you to do the same.

We All Have a Choice to Make

We are all going through a challenging experience together. But we all need to chose how we want to come out looking on the other side.

On the one hand, you can use this time to work hard and better yourself. The alternative route is to give in to the fear, the anger, and the negativity. Is there any way option B will result in something remotely good?

What does this have to do with your credit repair business?

Short answer - everything!

As a business owner, your company is an extension of you. Anything you put out into the world is going to determine your reputation. Even more online because everyone can access and revisit it at all times.

So if you’re aggressive on social media, arguing with people, and writing comments in all caps - that’s what people are going to associate with your company. And that’s not what being an entrepreneur is about.

“Being in business means being a good person and being a good leader.” - Daniel Rosen

There is only one rule that you need to have in mind at all times. If you’re a good person and help people, good things will happen to you.

That’s the only way for you to change people’s lives and make a meaningful impact. The only way you will ever build a business of your dreams.
